Cecilia Dusek, M.D.

Cecilia Dusek earned her medical degree from UT Southwestern after graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA from the University of Texas at Dallas, where she majored in Biology and minored in Neuroscience and Spanish. In medical school, she served as the elected Senator for Seldin College, a peer mentor liaison, coordinator of the Medicine and Art elective, and president of the Healthy Living Organization, spearheading health education for underserved students. Cecilia has participated in a medical mission to the Dominican Republic and a study abroad program in Seville, Spain. Her research on subjects such as neurodegenerative disease and anticoagulant reversal has been presented at numerous national conferences and appearing in peer-reviewed literature. Her awards include election to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society, the Bain Fellowship, the Bronze Presidential Service Award, the Dorothy E. Lee MD Scholarship, and two Bruce Willis Teaching Awards. During residency at UT Southwestern, Cecilia served as Chief Resident, a College of American Pathologists Residents Forum delegate, and a Housestaff Council representative. She completed her forensic pathology fellowship at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences. Her hobbies include hiking, yoga/pilates, interior design, painting, and playing the violin and viola.
