Biography Odaye Al-shammary, D.O., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern and a member of its Division of Hospital Medicine. Dr. Al-shammary holds a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from the University of North Texas in Denton. He earned his medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Auburn, Alabama, and completed internal medicine residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Al-shammary joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2025. His clinical interests include cardio-oncology, cardiovascular outcomes, and gastrointestinal disease. Dr. Al-shammary is an active member of the American College of Physicians and the Society of General Internal Medicine.
