Andrew DeVilbiss, Ph.D. Titles and Appointments Instructor Schools Medical School Departments Internal Medicine Biography Andrew DeVilbiss, Ph.D., is an Instructor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Hematology and Oncology. Dr. DeVilbiss holds dual bachelor's degrees in biochemestry and in cellular and molecular biology from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse. He earned his doctorate from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where he studied transcriptional and epigeneic mechansims regulating blood development and blood cancers. He then completed a postodoctoral fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center's Children's Research Institute, where he investigeted metabolic mechanisms that regulate hematopoietic stem cell maintenance and function. Dr. DeVilbiss research interests include transcriptional and metabolic mechanisms that facilitate drug resistance in multiple cancer types. Dr. DeVilbiss Joined the UT Southwestern Department of Internal Medicine faculty in 2024.
