She completed her medical school at UT Southwestern. After doing her internship at John Peter Smith Hospital, she returned to UT Southwestern to complete her diagnostic radiology residency, followed by a fellowship in Neuroradiology. Her clinical interests include neuroradiology imaging and spine procedures. Dr. Basirat joined our faculty in July 2026.
