Lee Radford, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Cardiothoracic Imaging Division.

Dr. Radford holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University. He earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern and completed residencies in nuclear medicine and radiation therapy at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, and in diagnostic radiology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.

Prior to joining the UT Southwestern faculty in 1967, Dr. Radford was a general medicine officer in the Air Force with the rank of captain. He also served as an attending radiologist at Seton Hospital and Holy Cross Hospital, both in Austin, as well as at Mesquite Memorial Hospital and at the Dallas/Fort Worth Medical Center. He is a former President of Diagnostic Radiology Associates of Dallas. 

At UT Southwestern, Dr. Radford spent 21 years as Chairman of the Radiology Department and Chief of Diagnostic Radiology while simultaneously acting as Medical Director of Diagnostic Radiology at St. Paul Medical Center. Additionally, he spent a year as the hospital-wide President of Medical Staff. 

In recognition of his accomplishments, Dr. Radford was presented the Aesculapius Family Medicine Teaching Award in 2002 and the award of Exemplary Dedication from St. Paul University Hospital in 2004. Also in 2004, he was named Chairman Emeritus for his work in the hospital's Radiology Department. 

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Radford has researched and published on topics such as dural sinus fistulas, renovascular hypertension, and pelvic arteriovenous malformations.

He is a member of multiple national and international professional organizations, including the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the American College of Radiology, the American Medical Association, the Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology, the Texas Radiological Society, and the Texas Medical Association.
