Biography

Dr. Blackburn is an assistant professor of neurology, and joined the faculty of UT Southwestern in 2020. He is dedicated to resident fellow and serves as Program Director for the Neuroimmunology Fellowship, and Associate Program Director for the Adult Neurology Residency

Dr. Blackburn sees patients in the Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Clinic in the Aston Ambulatory Care Center. He speciaolizes in the diagnosis and treatment of rare autoimmune neurological disorders, including autoimmune encephalitis, stiff person syndrome, paraneoplastic neurological syndromes, and neurosarcoidosis. His research focuses on developing new treatments and identifying new markers of disease activity in  autoimmune neurological disorders to optimize manage for these rare disorders.
