Biography Joined UT Southwestern: 1996 Sharon Pond Nations, M.D., is a Professor in the Department of Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in neuromuscular disorders. Research: Dr. Nations’ research interests include ALS, myasthenia gravis, myopathies and CIDP, and she has been involved in multiple clinical trials in these areas. She serves as a reviewer for Archives of Neurology, Neurology, Clinical Neuromuscular Disorders, and Muscle & Nerve. Background: Dr. Nations earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She completed a residency in neurology at Baylor College of Medicine. She received advanced training through a fellowship in neurophysiology at UT Southwestern.
