Biography

Swathi Reddy, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern, and a member of its Division of Rheumatic Diseases. She is also a staff physician at the Dallas VA Medical Center. Her clinical interests include musculoskeletal ultrasound.

Raised in Dallas, Dr. Reddy holds a bachelor’s degree cum laude in medical science and economics from Boston University   She received her medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine and completed internal medicine residency training at Montefiore Medical Center. She then completed advanced training through a fellowship in rheumatology at UT Southwestern.

Dr. Reddy is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in rheumatology, and certified by the American College of Rheumatology in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Certification in Rheumatology. She joined the UT Southwestern Faculty in 2012.

Dr. Reddy’s research interests include improvement of care for patients with rheumatic diseases. Her investigations have resulted in several publications in peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, she has presented her findings at scientific conferences throughout the United States.

At UT Southwestern, Dr. Reddy is involved in teaching medical students and residents in clinics, didactic sessions, and other settings.

Dr. Reddy is a member of the American College of Rheumatology.
