Dr. Lisa Schuster, a pediatric psychologist, completed her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at University of Detroit Mercy. She was appointed as an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern in 2015. Her clinical responsibilities focus on the REACH program at Children’s Health, which is the only clinic in the Greater Dallas area dedicated exclusively to caring for suspected victims of child abuse or neglect and with providers specially trained and certified in Child Abuse Pediatrics. While in clinic, patients and caregivers meet with Dr. Schuster to address any social-emotional, behavioral, or developmental concerns that may be present. In addition to conducting health behavior assessments to evaluate safety, adjustment, and psychosocial risk factors and providing brief intervention, Dr. Schuster regularly provides education in the community, supervises psychology trainees at all levels, and testifies as an expert witness in court.
