Biography
Dallas Armstrong, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in both the Department of Pediatrics and the Department of Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Armstrong is the medical director of the Rett Syndrome and Related Disorders clinic, which received the International Rett Syndrome Foundation Center of Excellence designation in 2021. She is also the representative from UT Southwestern to the pediatric epilepsy surgery work group of the Pediatric Epilepsy Research Consortium (PERC). Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in epilepsy, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2019.
Dr. Armstrong earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She first completed a residency in pediatrics at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, and then completed a residency in child neurology at UT Southwestern and Children’s Health. She then received advanced training in epilepsy through a fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, followed by an additional advanced surgical epilepsy fellowship. She spent an additional year as a Rett syndrome fellow at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia under the mentorship of Dr. Eric Marsh.
A member of the American Epilepsy Society, Dr. Armstrong has published broadly on her specialty.
