Cheryl Lewis, Ph.D. Associate Professor School Medical School Department Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center | Pathology Biography Dr. Lewis graduated from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and received her doctoral degree from UT Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in 1998. Her postdoctoral fellowship research focused on identifying epigenetic changes in benign breast tissue as a marker of breast cancer risk in the laboratory of Dr. David Euhus. Her current translational research interests include identifying biomarkers of DCIS progression, and studying gastrointestinal cancers using clinically annotated biospecimens.
