Dr. Syed graduated from Al-Ameen Medical College, Bijapur, India . He completed his  Residency at the Mid-Hudson Family Medicine Residency Program in Kingston , New York in 2005. He then joined the program as faculty and became the Associate Program Director in 2007 ,and  the Interim Program Director in July 2012 . He also has completed a fellowship at the National Institute for Program Directors Development in 2010.
Dr.Syed joined  UT Southwestern  in Jan' 2103. His interests include resident education and teaching, curriculum and faculty development. He likes to travel, hike, do photography and read books .
