Violeta Gallardo Montejano, M.D. Instructor School Medical School Department Internal Medicine Biography Violeta Gallardo Montejano, M.D., is an Instructor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Endocrinology. Originally from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Dr. Gallardo Montejano earned her medical degree, completed internal medicine residency training, and did a fellowship in endocrinology at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. She then completed postdoctoral training through Dr. Perry Bickel at UT Health Houston and UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Gallardo Montejano joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2017. Dr. Gallardo Montejano's research interests include lipid droplet lipolysis, glucose tolerance, and adipose tissue. she has published multiple peer-reviewed articles on her findings.
