Biography Jack O’Brien, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in hidradenitis suppurativa, general dermatology, and skin cancer. Dr. O’Brien earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School, where he also completed a residency in dermatology, serving as Chief Resident. Certified by the American Board of Dermatology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2021. At UT Southwestern, Dr. O’Brien is the Medical Director of the Dermatology Clinic, the Director of the Hidradenitis Suppurativa Clinic, and the Associate Program Director of the Dermatology Residency. Dr. O’Brien is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He serves as Secretary-Treasurer of the Dallas Dermatological Society and is a member of the Society for Investigative Dermatology. In addition, he is a faculty volunteer at the Agape Dermatology Clinic in Dallas. He has delivered presentations and published peer-reviewed academic articles related to his areas of expertise. He also contributed to the book Treatment of Skin Disease.
