Biography
Gerald Isbell III, M.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases.
It is a privilege to work with so many dedicated and accomplished individuals committed to improving the health of the community we serve.
Originally from Florida, Dr. Isbell holds a bachelor's degree and graduated cum laude, along with earned his medical degree, from Wake Forest University. He completed internal medicine residency training and a fellowship in gastrointestinal oncology at Baylor College of Medicine and UT MD Anderson. His clinical interests include but are not limited to gastrointestinal cancer screening, intestinal cancer prevention, and inflammatory bowel disease.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in gastroenterology, Dr. Isbell joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.
Dr. Isbell is a member of the Texas Medical Association and Dallas County Medical Society.
Personal Note
Dr. Isbell’s outside interests include exploring the natural world; backpacking, farming, and ranching.
