Jared Morphew, M.D.

Dr. Jared Morphew received his medical degree from UT Southwestern in 2015. He then went on the pursue family medicine residency training at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, TX where he served as a chief resident during his third year. Following residency, he completed a fellowship in geriatric medicine at the University of Michigan and extended  his geriatric fellowship training to include a year of medical education and advanced geriatrics work through the VA Health System in Ann Arbor, MI. After completing his geriatric training, he completed a fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine at Duke University Health System. 

Dr. Morphew joined the faculty at UT Southwestern in 2021. He serves as an assistant professor in the Departments of Family and Community Medicine and Internal Medicine. He currently serves as the Associate Director of Medical Student Education within the department of Family and Community Medicine. His clinical work includes general primary care, outpatient geriatric consults, and outpatient palliative care as well as supervision of residents and fellows in the inpatient and outpatient settings.  

Dr. Morphew's clinical interests include primary care, geriatrics, hospice and palliative medicine, HIV primary care, care of LGBTQIA+ patients, and gender-affirming care.
