Biography Tiffany Simms-Waldrip, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in pediatric hematology-oncology and focuses her research on hematopoietic stem cell transplant, transplant for bone marrow failure syndromes, and graft-versus-host disease. Dr. Simms-Waldrip earned her medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She performed her residency in pediatrics at UCLA Medical Center, where she also completed a fellowship in pediatric hematology-oncology. Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatric hematology-oncology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2010. Dr. Simms-Waldrip is the Clinical Director of Pediatric Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) at UT Southwestern and Children’s Medical Center Dallas. She also serves as the HSCT Education Coordinator and HSCT Bone Marrow Failure Physician at both institutions. She is a member of the American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy and serves on numerous committees, including as Chair of the Tissue and Transfusion Utilization Committee at Children’s. In addition, she is a Pediatrics Residency Program mentor at UTSW. She has published numerous academic articles.
