Biography Navid Sadeghi, M.D., M.S.P.H., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and a member of the Division of Hematology and Oncology. He specializes in the care of breast cancer, leukemia, and lymphoma patients. Originally from Iran, Dr. Sadeghi earned his medical degree at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. He completed residency training in internal medicine at UTHealth Houston's McGovern Medical School and then received advanced training through a hematology-oncology fellowship program at UT Southwestern, where he served as Chief Fellow. In addition, he holds a master's degree in epidemiology from the University of Texas School of Public Health in Houston. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in hematology and medical oncology, Dr. Sadeghi joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2013. Dr. Sadeghi serves as Chief of the Cancer Program for the Parkland Health & Hospital System and as Assistant Director of Clinical Investigation at Parkland for UT Southwestern's Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Sadeghi is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of several other professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Society of Hematology. He also serves on numerous committees at UT Southwestern and Parkland. Dr. Sadeghi’s research interests include cancer outcomes, care delivery, and healthcare disparities. He has published numerous academic articles on these and other topics. In 2016, Dr. Sadeghi received the Eugene P. Frenkel Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award from the Division of Hematology-Oncology.
