Biography

Quyen Do, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and a member of its Radiology Research Division.

Dr. Do received a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. She then obtained a doctoral degree in chemistry from the University of Texas at Dallas under A. Dean Sherry, Ph.D. As a graduate student, she worked on the design and synthesis of novel agents for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and radiopharmaceutical applications.

Prior to joining the UT Southwestern faculty in 2019, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Robert E. Lenkinski, Ph.D. With Dr. Lenkinski's guidance, she implemented and evaluated arterial spin labeled (ASL) non-contrast perfusion imaging technique using a 1 Tesla preclinical MR scanner. She applied this technique along with anatomical imaging for qualitative and quantitative analysis of various tumor models.

Her research interest focuses on translational research, currently working on assessment of the human placenta using functional MRI and quantitative data processing, including radiomics texture analysis.

Dr. Do serves as a reviewer for various scientific journals, including Inorganic Chemistry (the American Chemical Society) and the Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (JMRI).

She is a member of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine. In 2019 and 2023, Dr. Do was honored for distinguished service to the Society as a reviewer for the JMRI
