Christy Turer, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of General Internal Medicine.
Dr. Turer holds a bachelor's degree in natural science from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where she graduated with high honors. She earned her medical degree at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She completed a combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency program and a fellowship in health services research in primary care at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. During her fellowship, she completed a master's degree in health services research at the Duke and NIH Clinical Research training program. From 2018-2021, she obtained additional training at the University of Texas at Houston Health Science Center in applied clinical informatics.
Dr. Turer joined the UT Southwestern faculty January 2010 and is Board-certified by: the American Boards of Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Obesity Medicine.
Dr. Turer is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Medical Informatics Association. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
