Azadeh Namiranian Assistant Professor School School of Health Professions Department Physician Assistant Studies Biography Azadeh Namiranian, MPAS, PA-C, received her undergraduate degrees in Communication Studies and Spanish at The University of Texas at Austin in 2001. She worked in finance prior to becoming a PA. During this time, she regularly volunteered in the Emergency Department at Parkland Hospital and decided to pursue her passion in medicine. She then earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at UT Southwestern in 2011. Most recently, before joining as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies at UT Southwestern in November 2024, she worked at the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer center in the Acute Care Center and in Infusion medicine. She also has experience in Gynecologic Oncology, in Internal Medicine subspecialties and Pulmonary Transplant. Her clinical interests include women’s health, oncology, cancer screening and cancer education, and supporting oncology community outreach programs. Professor Namiranian has a passion for education, and greatly enjoys precepting and mentoring students.
