Elisabeth Golden, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of neuromuscular and autonomic disorders.  She has a particular interest in amyloidosis, and collaborates with other specialties as a member of the UT Southwestern Multidisciplinary Amyloidosis Program.

Dr. Golden earned her medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. She completed a residency in neurology and advanced training through separate fellowships in neuromuscular medicine and autonomic disorders, all at UT Southwestern.  She earned distinction with several awards during training, including the Outstanding Resident Award, the Fred Baskin Young Investigator Award, and the Outstanding Fellow Award.  Board certified in neurology and neuromuscular medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2019. 

In addition to her clinical work, she is committed to the academic mission of the institution.  She has a particular interest in teaching and education, and frequently gives lectures to students, residents, and the broader medical community.  She has mentored several medical students in quality improvement and research, and serves as the neurology faculty advisor for medical student scholarly activity.
