Biography
Dr. Athra Kaviani completed her Bachelor of Science degree at The University of Texas at Austin in Biomedical Engineering. She completed her pediatric internship and residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center and served as chief resident of the UT Southwestern Pediatric Residency Program. As faculty of the Department of Pediatrics, Dr. Kaviani cares for newborns and their families at Clements University Hospital and Parkland Hospital. She is heavily involved in resident and medical student education and serves on the Pediatric Residency Core Curriculum Committee. Dr. Kaviani's research interests are focused on public health outcomes, access to healthcare, and medical education.
