George Stephen, M.D. Clinical Assistant Professor School Medical School Department Internal Medicine Biography George Stephen, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of General Internal Medicine. Originally from Buffalo, New York, Dr. Stephen holds a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from the State University of Buffalo. He earned his medical degree at the University of Missouri Columbia. He then completed internal medicine residency training at the University of Texas San Antonio, followed by the University of Rochester in New York. He completed advanced training through a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in pulmonary disease, sleep medicine, and hospice and palliative care, Dr. Stephen joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2006. Dr. Stephen is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
