Biography Ilene Chiu, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She is a general otolaryngologist who treats a broad spectrum of conditions of the ears, nose, and throat. She sees patients at the Moncrief Medical Center in Fort Worth where she also serves as the regional center’s medical director. Dr. Chiu completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with highest honors. She earned her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where she also completed her residency in the Bobby R. Alford Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, Dr. Chiu joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2017. Dr. Chiu is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, the Texas Medical Association, the Tarrant County Medical Society, and the Texas Association of Otolaryngology. She was selected for Texas Monthly’s Super Doctors: Rising Stars list in 2023 and 2024.
