Biography

Dr. Mahaldar is originally from India and received her initial medical training at the Government Medical College in Jammu, India. Drawn by the opportunity for the harmonious integration of clinical medicine, radiology, and pathology, she completed her Residency and hematology and medical oncology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Mahaldar brings to UTSW a strong background in general medical oncology,  benign and malignant hematology, and medical education. She currently specializes in breast cancer, GI malignancies, lung cancer, head & neck cancer and benign hematology. Her clinical practice emphasizes patient and family-centered care. Dr. Mahaldar’s interests outside of medicine include her family, cooking, reading, and the great outdoors.
