Biography

Phi Wiegn, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Cardiology.

Originally from Vietnam, Dr. Wiegn earned his medical degree at New York Medical College. He completed internal medicine residency training at The New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center. He then completed advanced training through fellowships in cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology, Dr. Wiegn joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2010. He is the Director of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab at the North Texas VA Health Care System in Dallas.

Dr. Wiegn's clinical and research interests include cardiac resynchronization therapy in heart failure and atrial and ventricular tachyarrhythmias.
