Biography Jonathan Wickiser, M.D., is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in pediatric kidney, liver, testicular, and ovarian tumors; cancer predisposition syndromes in children; and pediatric melanoma. Dr. Wickiser earned his medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He completed his residency in pediatrics at the University of Virginia, serving as Chief Resident his final year, and gained advanced training in pediatric hematology and oncology through a fellowship at UT Southwestern. Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatric hematology and oncology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2006. Among his other roles, Dr. Wickiser is the Oncology Director at the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children's Medical Center Dallas. He is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and he serves on the Wilms Tumor Panel and Discussion Writing Committee for the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. Dr. Wickiser has delivered several invited lectures, contributed to the book Pediatric Emergency Medicine, and published numerous academic articles, case reports, and clinical guidelines related to his areas of expertise.
