Biography

Dr. Uddin is originally from El Paso, TX and received her medical training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Drawn by the opportunity for a procedurally oriented subspeciality that combined clinical medicine, radiology, and pathology, she completed her gastroenterology fellowship and is now working to complete an advanced endoscopy fellowship. Dr. Uddin brings to UTSW a strong background in general medicine and gastroenterology. She is committed to medical education and actively and regularly participates in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. She currently specializes in pancreaticobiliary disease and the performance of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. Her clinical practice emphasizes patient and family-centered care. Dr. Uddin’s interests outside of medicine include her family, cooking, reading, and the great outdoors.
