Biography

Dawei Bu, M.D., is an Instructor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a faculty member of the Touchstone Diabetes Center.

Originally from Shenyang, China, Dr. Bu received his medical degree from China Medical University, as well as a master's degree in gynecological oncology. He went on to receive his postdoctorate degree in molecular oncology at China Medical University as well. Dr. Bu completed gynecological oncology residency training at China Medical University and followed up with postdoctoral training in breast cancer research at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Bu joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2005 as an Instructor in the Department of Surgery. He then came to the Department of Internal Medicine as an Instructor in 2014.
