Adrianna Martin, Ph.D.

Adrianna Martin. Ph.D., will split her clinical time between UT Southwestern and Parkland.

Dr. Martin was born in Jamaica and grew up in Houston, spending many summers with family in Jamaica. Her Caribbean heritage is a central part of her identity and has strongly shaped her values, sense of community, and approach to clinical work.

She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she also completed an APA-accredited internship with rotations at Moncrief Cancer Institute (now Simmons Cancer Center) and Parkland Memorial Hospital’s Consultation-Liaison Psychology Service. She recently completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine, with specialized training in both the PTSD Clinic and the Addiction Medicine Dual Diagnosis Clinic.

Dr. Martin’s clinical interests include trauma, addiction, and health psychology in medically complex populations. She is deeply committed to culturally responsive care and advancing mental health equity for BIPOC communities.

Outside of work, Dr. Martin enjoys traveling (having visited 14 countries), exploring new restaurants with friends, attending concerts, and taking long walks with her Chihuahua, Jade Whitney. She also enjoys painting, a hobby she developed during fellowship, and spending time near water. After recently relocating from the San Francisco Bay Area, she is especially enjoying being back in the DFW area and spending time at places like White Rock Lake.

Dr. Martin is very family oriented and values warmth, connection, and cultural humility in both her personal life and clinical practice. She is excited to join a team that shares these values.
