  • Biography

    I am a board-certified Hospice and Palliative Medicine physician with a background in Internal Medicine and additional training in geriatric medicine and quality improvement. My academic interests include expanding availability of outpatient palliative care to older adults with non-cancer illnesses and the role of palliative care in transitions of care. 

    After completion of Internal Medicine resident with the UPMC Medical Education program in 2019, I completed a Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship at UW Health in Madison, Wisconsin on 2020, as well as a 2-year Advanced Geriatrics Fellowship with the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in 2022. 

    In addition to my board certifications in Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. I hold certificates in Biomedical Ethics from NEOMED and from the Havard Medical School Safety, Quality Improvement, Information, and Leadership (SQIL) program. 

    My clinical interests include outpatient palliative care for older adults with serious illness, palliative care for patients with neurodegenerative conditions including Parkinson's and dementia, and palliative care for patients with serious respiratory conditions such as COPD.
