  • Biography

    Arthi Sridhar, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in the treatment of thoracic malignancies such as lung cancer, mesothelioma, and thymic tumors.

    Dr. Sridhar earned her medical degree at M.S. Ramaiah Medical College in Bengaluru, India. She completed a residency in internal medicine at UMass Chan Medical School - Baystate, where she served as Associate Chief Resident. She gained advanced training through a hematology and medical oncology fellowship at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, where she was selected as Chief Hematology and Oncology Fellow. She also completed an advanced solid tumor oncology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

    Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in medical oncology, hematology, and internal medicine, Dr. Sridhar joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.

    Dr. Sridhar is an active clinical researcher and community-oriented clinical trialist with a focus on advancing innovative therapies for thoracic malignancies. She is a Winn Scholar and is deeply committed to improving outcomes and access to cutting-edge treatments for all patients. Her research interests include novel therapies, lung cancer in younger patients, and patient-centered approaches to cancer care.

    Dr. Sridhar has delivered presentations at national and international conferences. She has published in high-impact journals, including Nature Communications and the Journal of Thoracic Oncology, and has presented her work at national and international conferences. Dr. Sridhar is actively involved in leading national and international oncology organizations, including the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer and the American Society of Clinical Oncology, where she contributes to committee work and professional initiatives.

    Personal Note

    When she’s not at work, Dr. Sridhar enjoys hiking, sampling different cuisines, and spending time with her family.
