Biography

I am a member of the Endocrine Pathology and Cytopathology Sub-Specialty groups. My service work and research interests include addressing the diagnostic and prognostic problems related to general endocrine pathology with emphasis in thyroid pathology. I am particularly interested in the role of environmental and genetic factors in early thyroid carcinogenesis and mechanisms of evolution of thyroid tumors to more aggressive variants.  As a cytopathologist I sign out thyroid fine needle aspirations, correlate the findings with excision specimens and hope to contribute to the development of improved criteria for the accurate cytodiagnosis of thyroid tumors.
