Biography Jorge Mosquera Izurieta, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Endocrinology. He specializes in diabetes, adrenal and pituitary, and parathyroid conditions. Dr. Mosquera earned his medical degree at the Universidad de Cuenca in Ecuador. He then completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Central Florida followed by an advanced training endocrinology and metabolism fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023. Dr. Mosquera has delivered poster presentations, published case reports, and contributed to the book Acute Strokes: Signs, Symptoms and Management. In his personal time, Dr. Mosquera enjoys playing soccer, traveling, and attending concerts.
