Biography Kirk Jordan, M.D., is an Associate Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Cardiothoracic Imaging Division. His clinical interests include lung cancer. Dr. Jordan holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University in College Station. Before earning his master’s degree in chemical engineering at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, he worked as a professional chemical engineer for Texas Eastman Company in Longview for six years. He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, and performed his radiology residency at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. He then received advanced training in thoracic imaging through a fellowship at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Dr. Jordan has conducted research and co-authored 15 original peer-reviewed publications on topics including interstitial lung disease, blunt thoracic trauma, thoracic aortic injuries, and imaging for infections. He is a member of the Residency Program Committee, the Program Evaluation Committee, and the Radiation Safety Committee. Dr. Jordan is a member of several national and international professional organizations, including the Society of Thoracic Radiology, the American Roentgen Ray Society, and the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.
