Biography

James Chang, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Hospital Medicine.

Originally from New York, Dr. Chang holds a bachelor's degree in molecular biophysicis and biochemistry. He holds a master's degree in information systems from New York University. He earned his medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University. He completed internal medicine residency training at NYU Winthrop University Hospital.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Chang joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2019.

Dr. Chang is a member of the Dallas County Medical Society.

Personal Note

Dr. Chang’s outside interests include biking, world cuisine, and travel with environmental interests.
