Biography

Stephanie Torres Rodriguez, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in theDepartment of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Nephrology. Her clinical interests include general nephrology, acute kidney injury, home dialysis, and medical education.

Dr. Torres Rodriguez earned her medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico, where she also completed a residency in internal medicine. She received advanced training in nephrology through a fellowship at UT Southwestern, where she was both Chief Fellow and the recipient of the Outstanding Nephrology Fellow Award.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2021.

She serves as the Executive Associate Program Director and Education Coordinator for the Nephrology Fellowship Program. She is also a member of the Fellowship and Residency Recruitment Committees.

Dr. Torres Rodriguez is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society of Nephrology, and the National Kidney Foundation. She has delivered numerous presentations related to her areas of expertise.
