Biography Mir Alikhan, D.O., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and a member of the Division of General Internal Medicine. Originally from Hyderabad, India, Dr. Alikhan immigrated with his family at age 11 to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He holds a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Texas at Austin. He completed his medical education at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. He then completed combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency training at the University of Texas at Houston. Dr. Alikhan's clinical interests include hospitalist medicine, preventative care, and care for the indigent. Personal Note Outside of medicine, Dr. Alikhan enjoys traveling, following politics, trying new restaurants, and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
