Biography

Chellse Gazda, M.D., M.P.H., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and a member of its Endocrinology Division. She specializes in obesity management.

Dr. Gazda holds a bachelor's degree in food science and human nutrition from the University of Florida. She earned her medical degree and her master's degree in public health from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine before completing her residency in internal medicine at Tulane University in New Orleans. She completed advanced training in endocrinology through a fellowship at UT Southwestern, where she served as Chief Fellow and earned the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Patient Care, as well as an Award for Outstanding Achievement in Research.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Gazda joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2020 as a member of the endocrinology team. She specializes in the care of medical weight loss and the care of patients following bariatric surgery.

Dr. Gazda is a member of the Endocrine Society and the Obesity Society. Her research focuses on obesity care and quality improvement.
