Lisa Dennison, Ph.D. Dir Research Development Communications Assistant Professor School Medical School Department Development | Cell Biology Biography As the Director of Research Development Communications within the Office of Development, I identify and produce stories that increase awareness of the value and impact of UT Southwestern’s research accomplishments to a wide variety of audiences, including donors, legislators, community ambassadors, and the broader public (working collaboratively with our Development Communications Team and the Office of Communications, Marketing, and Public Affairs). I also promote professional development in science communication for students, postdocs, and faculty, including coaching scientists on how to give exciting talks to lay audiences and how to create short, engaging videos about their work (such as those found on sciencesketches.org).
