Biography

Betty Chung Grasty, M.D., is a Faculty Associate in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of General Internal Medicine. She is a primary care physician at the UT Southwestern Clinical Center at Las Colinas.

I believe in a strong patient and physician relationship. I work hard to be the team captain for every patient's care.

Dr. Grasty was born in Canton, China, and escaped communism with her family to Hong Kong in 1978 as a young child. She then immigrated to the United States with her family in 1984.

Dr. Grasty holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Florida Atlantic University, where she graduated magna cum laude. She earned her medical degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where she graduated magna cum laude, and completed internal medicine residency training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

After completing her residency, Dr. Grasty immediately began her career in providing direct patient care through her solo private practice which she successfully ran for 17 years before joining the faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center in 2017.

Dr. Grasty is a member of the Dallas County Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association, and the American College of Physicians.

Personal Note

Dr. Grasty is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
