  • Biography

    Patrick McCreesh, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Hematology & Oncology. His clinical interests include inpatient medicine and management of complications of malignancies. Inpatient oncology service provides an opportunity to help relieve the suffering of patients living through what can be a very difficult disease to treat and live with.

    Originally from California, Dr. McCreesh holds a bachelor's degree in microbiology from California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo. He earned his medical degree from Western Michigan University Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He completed internal medicine residency training at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.

    Dr. McCreesh joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.

    Dr. McCreesh's research interest is inpatient medicine. HIs investigations have resulted in publications in peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, he has presented his findings at conferences. He chose inpatient oncology service because enjoys inpatient medicine and being with patients to help relieve their suffering through what can be very difficult diseases to treat and live with.

    Dr. McCreesh's interests outside of medicine include reading, cooking, and spending time with his family.
