Biography Shweta Chowdhury, M.D., is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Hospital Medicine. Originally from India, Dr. Chowdhury completed her medical education at Bharti Vidyapeeth Medical College. She completed internal medicine residency training at Rochester General Hospital in New York, where she was Chief Resident. During her chief year, Dr Chowdhury was involved in a $700,000 funded Hypertension Grant for resident education and mentored them in various projects and presentations. At UT Southwestern, Dr. Chowdhury is a member of the Chair Utilization Review Committee and the Medical Director of Utilization Review and Management. She is also a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine. Personal Note Outside of medicine, she enjoys live music and traveling besides spending time with her kids.
