Joad Eseddi, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Rheumatic Diseases. His clinical interests include myositis, inflammatory arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.

Dealing with challenging cases through analytical thinking and critical problem solving during my senior years of medical school motivated me to become an internist.

He then completed  internal medicine residency training at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, before joining the faculty at UT Southwestern as a member of its Division of Hospital Medicine.

After five years of service at Parkland Health and Hospital System, he obtained advanced training through a fellowship in rheumatology at UT Southwestern and rejoined the faculty in 2023.
