Biography Eric Steen, M.D., is a Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of General Internal Medicine. Originally from Quantico, Virginia, Dr. Steen holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. He earned his medical degree at The Medical College of Virginia. he completed internal medicine residency training at Baylor College of Medicine and spent two years working for the United States Public Health Service National Health Service Corps. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Steen joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 1990. At UT Southwestern, Dr. Steen participated in the Faculty Scholars program. He also mentors medical students and residents. Dr. Steen is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
