Biography

Dr. Hossain is originally from New York City and received his initial medical training at the St. George’s University School of Medicine,Grenada. He then completed his internship and residency at the Drexel
University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. From there he served as faculty at the Stony Brook University School of Medicine. In addition to maintaining a busy clinical practice, Dr. Hossain served as core faculty for their Internal Medicine residency program and was Co-Program director of their Medicine-Pediatrics dual residency. Dr. Hossain brings to UTSW a strong interest in general internal medicine, wellness, disease prevention, medical education and emerging roles of technology to optimize patient care. His clinical practice also emphasizes patient centered care and shared decision making.

Dr. Hossain’s interests outside of medicine include following professional sports, social media, blogging and spending time with his wife and 3 children.
