Biography

Syeda Jaffery, M.D., M.P.H., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Hospital Medicine.

Originally from Lahore, Pakistan, Dr. Jaffery earned her medical degree at the Fatima Jinnah Medical College in Pakistan. She completed internal medicine residency training, a fellowship in occupational and environmental medicine, and a master's degree in public health at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington. 

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Jaffery joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2017.

At UT Southwestern, Dr. Jaffery is Co Chair of the Research Committee.

Dr. Jaffery is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine.

Personal Note

Dr. Jaffery's interests outside of medicine include her family, fashion design, and travel.
