Biography Nainesh Shah, M.D., is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Hospital Medicine. Originally from Garland, Dr. Shah holds a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. He earned his medical degree at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio. He completed internal medicine residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he was Chief Medical Resident. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Shah joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2014. He is currently the Medical Director and Deputy Medical Information Officer at Parkland Health and Hospital System. Personal Note Dr. Shah’s interests outside of the hospital include his family, traveling, and cheering for the Cowboys and Mavericks.
