Biography

Dr. Rachel Long is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Long completed her medical training at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She went on to a community based residency, St. John Hospital in Detroit MI, where she got to know her patients very well and developed great relationships with their families. When Dr. Long moved to Texas in 2014, she discovered her true calling to work in academic medicine at UT Southwestern during her Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship. She very much enjoyed the opportunity to teach families about their growing children as well as teach residents to become great doctors. During her fellowship, Dr. Long focused her research efforts on pediatric head trauma.
